Going into the auditions for She's Got The Look, I thought, “This may be my chance to finally accomplish my unfulfilled dream of becoming a model.” At 38, I had become a certified life coach and wanted to motivate others to go for their dreams. I always thought modeling was at the top of my list of things I had yet to accomplish. Boy, was I wrong!
When the show went on the air this year, I started to get e-mails from women who were in dire situations and felt hopeless about ever turning their lives around. Achieving their dreams wasn't even something they had the luxury to think about. As they watched the show, they would take inspiration from the strength they saw in the models. I would receive updates about the steps they were taking to make things better, and in return I would send words of encouragement. I received many thanks for providing hope to them. When I was announced as the SGTL winner, I received messages from women (and men!) who literally had tears of joy. They saw me in them, in their daughters and wives. I couldn’t have been more touched by that.
As Season 3 approaches, I'm still receiving messages daily. All of a sudden, these women are inspiring ME! Their stories are incredible; after getting hope from watching the show, they're going for their dreams. Just this morning, I read four messages that brought tears to my eyes. I'm so proud of these women, seeing where they were, and a short time later witnessing the hope, passion and success they're experiencing.
I thought modeling was the one thing the show would give me a chance to do. Instead, it gave me and so many others so much more. It has inspired me to take my coaching to another level: In 2010, I will be taking it nationwide! She’s Got The Look has changed my life, and because of it, I've found my true calling. I’m not just a model, but a role model.
Happy holidays,
Cindy

You are beautiful inside and out. I knew when I first saw the women on the show you would be the winner. You have an unique beauty and you inspire me to fulfill my dream of modeling so much. I wish you all the best in modeling and maybe I can be in your shoes one day.
Best of Luck
Can you please hold an open casting call in Las Vegas, NV for Season 4. Sorry I missed the December open call.
Thanks
Cindy is absolutely beautiful. In one of the episodes it showed the women with out make-up. I was wondering what products she used to cover bags under her eyes. I really need help with that area.
thank you.
I'm a friend of Miriam Bauer…she is so proud of you and I can see why. You are very beautiful. Continue with your dream and may God Bless You! The Best of everything to you and your loved ones this Holiday Season. Maria
Hello! I was wondering if there was going to be a season 4 and when will the application process start? Thank you.
Thank you Cindy and I enjoyed reading your blogs, especially this one. I am anxiously waiting for the next step!
Beautifully said Cindy! I had to pull my son off of my computer just now from You-Tubing "basketball"…his dream. (smile) I wanted to show him that "Cindy Cohen" sent "me" a message. (smile) We then read your latest correspondence, and he says, "She's lucky, she's BLESSED! I said, yes she is, and I wanted you to know that even my 12 year old is aware.
You see, not only is he aware, but also my 18 & 21 yr old sons. I wanted so badly to get the opportunity as it is my passion,& I wanted to show them that I could fulfill that dream inspite of so many odds that have been against me for many years. Until 14 months ago, I've been a single mom and they've been there through it all. I wanted to give our family some great news for a change if you know what I mean.
For once, I wanted to say, "I got it!" You know, they cheered me on,and when I didn't have that news, they said such wonderful things to me that any mother would cherish! It made all the difference to me. On the way back from Memphis, my husband held & kissed my hand as I shed a few tears, then my little one asked, "Mom, are you crying?" Then he took his hand and rubbed my hair so gently giving me comfort. He reminded me of the book I'm writing, and how I'm still able to empower young girls and young women as I had been. I know GOD is good and I'm always reminded of my favorite scripture, Proverbs 3:5,6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, Lean not on your own understanding , Acknowledge HIM in all your ways, and HE will direct your paths. True, I don't understand how I felt as though GOD placed this passion in me when I was a teen, & to never give up, yet, each time attempted, I feel more and more discouraged about "that dream". What do I do now? Go on, and be so grateful in knowing that GOD is still good and I will continue to trust HIM in ALL things, even when I don't always understand every step of my life. He's faithful. I told my 18 YR old and my husband that when you did your exit interview, it was if you were speaking for me! I am thrilled that you are living "our" dream…and the dream of many others. There's nothing more rewarding than reaching for the stars and then grabbing a few. God bless you girl!
Cindy, You are beautiful inside and out! Congratulations. I enjoy reading your posts on Facebook as well.
Happy Holidays to you and your family.
