Hey! We, at the Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Center in Jamestown, New York, just received word that a very special donation is being sent our way by the daughter of Bob Carroll, Jr. Lucy-Desi fans know that Bob was one of the writers for not only Lucy’s radio show (My Favorite Husband), but with his writing partners, he penned every single “I Love Lucy” episode, too—and some episodes of The Lucy Show and Here’s Lucy. Wish I could tell you what it is that’s coming….well, I guess I can tell you what it is…just not exactly what it is. It's a prop Lucy used on one of her episodes. Exactly which prop and which episode….I can’t say. We’re keeping it a big secret until the upcoming festival—Lucy-Desi Days 2007 (May 25-27). In fact, we’re going to unveil the prop at one of the festival events we call the “Lucy-Desi Fan Reunion” where fans from throughout the U.S., Canada, and abroad gather at Lucille Ball Memorial Park in Celoron (just outside of Jamestown) for an informal get-together, with picnic style food, trivia, and surprises. The big surprise this time is that prop that we’ll share for the first time. (Then, it’ll be retired to the archives and brought out on occasion for display in the Lucy-Desi Museum). Interested in being a part of the festival in Lucy’s hometown? Can’t wait to learn more about the 40+ events? Eager to learn which Lucy-Desi VIPs are going to attend? Check it out at the link above. It’s just a little over a month away. Come to Lucy’s hometown and you’ll have a ball! | |||

I have watched every episode more times than I can count. I now have most of the DVDs too. I remember waching the original episodes back in the 50's when I was a kid. LUCY and Desi live on for sure
LUCY WAS ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS PEOPLE IN THE WORLD. YOU WOULD NEVER MEET A PERSON LIKE THAT AGAIN WITH THAT INSANE CRY OR THAT "EWW" SHE MAKES WHEN EVER SHE MADE IN A TERRIBLE MESS. SHE WAS THE MOST WONDERFUL WOMAN YOU EVER MEET IN THE WORLD YOU WOULD JUST BE LUCKY ENOUGH JUST TO BE IN HER PRESENTS. SHE WOULD BE OUT OF THIS WORLD WHICH IS WONDERFUL FOR HER. SHE WAS BEAUTIFUL ALSO WITH THAT PERFECT SMILE. AS SHE BROUGHT LAUGHTER TO THE WORLD SHE ALSO BROUGHT SMILES TO THE WORLD. EVEN THOUGH SHE HAS DIED SHE WILL ALWAYS LIVE IN OUR LAUGHTER OUR SMILES AND IN OUR HEARTS. MAY SHE LIVE ON FOREVER.
