Hello again from Lucille Ball's hometown! For those of you who haven't visited, we hope you're making future plans! For those of you who have, chances are that--in addition to the Lucy-Desi Museum, the Lucy-Desi Center Gift Shop, and the Desilu Playhouse--the "I Love Lucy" wall murals in downtown Jamestown are among the sights you enjoyed while visiting. Big news! The fourth in a series of Lucy-Desi wall murals was just completed earlier this week. Our good friend and longtime Lucy-Desi Center supporter, Gary Peters, was commissioned to create this work of art! Gary is the Jamestown area artist that created all four murals Here's a sneak peek of the latest and greatest! (Pictured with Gary is another Gary Peters--his dad.) We're fortunate here in Lucy's hometown to have the ongoing support of the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation (CRCF), which has provided the funding necessary for this mural and the others, too. Additional financial support for the newest mural was provided by the Jamestown Chamber of Commerce. Lucy's hometown is making strides in celebrating the legacy of the first Couple of Comedy thanks to these organizations, others, and...fans from throughout the world that make Jamestown, New York, a visitor destination each year. Our thanks to all of you! |

I really wish I had seen more of her when she was here, I was never an avid follower of her shows and I regret it now. She was a blessing though and will always be remembered.

I am lucy's biggest fan I don't care what anyone says I have like every collectable. And I think she made a huge contribution to the world by bringing laughter to everyone's home. I'm out for now....................tata
I was born and raised in Buffalo, N.Y. After graduation from school I relocated numerous times throghout the country. Upon early retirement i returned to Buffalo. I have recently begun exploring all that is wonderful in New York State. My visit to Jamestown was a wonderful experience. I was born in 1948, I truly grew up w/ the Ricardos & Mertzes. Visiting Jamestown was like stepping inside a black and white T.V. in 1959. The beautiful Murals were the first sign that I was entering " Lucy-Land ". The museums were wonderfully exciting. the visit to the cemetary where Lucy is now at rest was sad. I felt as though i had witnessed lucy's entire life. I visited her birthplace, her home while growing up, her stage sets from her Hollywood/T.V. career ... and finally her place of final repose in the cemetary. My visit to jamestown was a " Look back in time " to all that was wonderful during the " Age of Lucy ". I will visit again, and again, .... and again !
